The official main goals of the DGCF are:

• commissioning leading composers, giving younger generations the opportunity to learn from them, and enabling performing musicians to venture into great contemporary works.
• helps master students in percussion and composition and those who have recently graduated in the Netherlands to develop themselves further and offer young professionals an opportunity to breathe life into their projects within two years.

These goals enable us to develop new percussion instruments and create new musical languages, among other things. Ultimately, we want to expand the percussion repertoire (solo and chamber music) and promote contemporary music worldwide.
