Henk van der Meulen

Henk van der Meulen (1955) is a composer, executive, supervisor, and advisor.

He studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and with the American avant-garde composer John Cage.

After years of being active as a composer, pianist, conductor, teacher, and executive, he served as Head of Music and Dance Programs at NPS Television (now NTR) from 1995 to 2008.

From 2008 to 2023, he was the director of the Royal Conservatoire and (vice) chair of the Executive Board of the University of the Arts, The Hague.

Central to all his activities is the development and support of music/art and talented artists/musicians, aiming for maximum connection between art and society, the artist and the audience.
