This piece is some reflection of one of the hypostases of war, the hypostasis of the reign of death and destruction. That is why I am categorically against the performance of this piece on the territory of Ukraine before we win this war. The parts of the violin and the piano are mostly the music of something completely, irreversibly devoid of life. The only exception is the cello part. Roughly speaking, the cello here is something on the edge between living and lifeless, the features of something alive in inanimate: something between noise and hard breathing, between wind and groan.
