"Musique de fer" is written for Konstantyn Napolov. At the very beginning I decided to have a setup with uniquely metal instruments. I also decided that I would use instruments that would be controlled by pedals. Finally, when I choose basic instruments for the upper set, I started to experiment with nipple gongs in order to find new sounds.

I realized that there are possibilities to change pitch and temper by touching the gong in different places while hiking it with the mallet. Using this technique, I created the whole piece. Later on, in collaboration with Adams, Konstantyn developed a special stand for this set-up.
